
Drivaware is a powerful and versatile set of technologies aiming to improve and expand remote real-time telemetry functions of common vehicles such as cars and trucks. Drivaware provides full support for scientific research, allowing to interact with telemetry data in a particularly detailed fashion. Drivaware is capable of automatically analyze acquired telemetry data and correlate them with rich geographic information.
The Drivaware platform is able to acquire telemetry data directly on-board, and remotely upload them to a central server via HTTP.
Data are then available for further usage and processing, given the rich capabilities of the Drivaware server system. |

The platform features a completely web-based user interface for an increased ease of use and very low maintenance costs. |

Asides the platform server-side software, the Drivaware platform is composed by a low-cost smart on-board device, which interacts with the vehicle ECU requesting and processing data.
The device has enough processing power for performing on-board analyses and computations, and is also designed to interact with a GPS receiver as well as to communicate with the central web server using a built-in GPRS/UMTS transceiver. |
